First dates - what can be more fun right? Well, if you are feeling a bit stressed about heading out on a first date and not sure what to wear here are some amazing style tips that will help you look gorgeous, feel great and have confidence to spare.

The key to dressing for a first date is the venue - whether you are going to a black tie event, to the hottest club or bowling, knowing where you are headed is the first step to deciding on your wardrobe.

Here are some serious fashion style tips and tricks for dressing for a first date.

Stylish Fashion Choices for a First Date

Wool or tweed trousers, silk pants with rolled cuffs, flirty pencil or flared skirts and simple wide leg black pants are versatile fashion pieces for a first date. Add a chic ruffled blouse and a tailored cropped jacket, a beaded draped tank top and a tuxedo jacket or a simple fitted top and wide black belt.

If your pants and skirt are flared or loose fitting then go for a more form fitting top. Don’t be afraid to show off your figure by wearing a tailored or form fitting top.

However, don’t wear anything too tight because you want to be comfortable sitting, standing, walking or even dancing.

Accessorize Your Style on a First Date

Don’t forget to dress your look up with some equally fashionable shoes.  Go for a pair of high heel ankle boots with zippers, buckles or studded embellishments.  For a more feminine ankle boot try a peep toe or lace up style to keep things fun and flirty.

Add some chic jewelry pieces including a bejeweled cuff bracelet, a gemstone inspired ring, pear shaped dangling earrings and a pendant necklace.  If you prefer a more simple style try a contemporary yet feminine tank watch and a few mismatched chain necklaces.

These looks are dressy enough for a nice dinner, a drink at a club or even a movie.  They are also a casual look that would be comfortable and stylish for a movie or a walk in the park.
A first date is a time for you to make a great impression.  Avoid wearing jeans unless you are doing something active like bowling or sledding or something unique on your date that would require you to wear jeans.

Dress comfortably and within your comfort zone.  Avoid wearing anything that you are not comfortable in because you want to be confident and if you are wearing something that you are comfortable with it will be apparent throughout the date!

Ultimately when you are on your date you want to be focused on the person you are with not the clothes you are wearing so make sure to wear something that you love and that you look fabulous in.

When it comes to what to wear on a first date there are no hard fast rules.  The key is to stick to your own personal style, wear something you love, wear something you are comfortable in and wear something that flatters your physique.  That’s it!  The most important thing on a first date is the person you are with – so have a fun!

If getting up and getting out the door are a daily challenge for you, know this… you are not alone! If you long for just 5 more minutes of some much needed shut eye but still want to look super fashionable when you head out the door – look no further.

Here are 5 awesome fashion tips that will help you get ready fast and look fabulous.

Hair – Gorgeous Hair

Ok, so when you jump out of bed – maybe you have time for a shower and maybe you don’t. Either way skip the hair wash, mainly because it takes way too long to dry and style.

Instead, shower and style your hair the night before – so it only takes a couple of minutes in the morning to get it looking good. Or, dry wash your hair in the morning with some incredible dry wash shampoos that will have your hair looking silky and stunning in minutes.

Other hair options include a cute bun, sleek ponytail, boho headband or pageboy cap.

Fashion – Super Style in a Pinch

Some of the best looks when getting ready fast include layers for chic and stylish appeal or two pieces that compliments one another for a more sophisticated work ensemble.

When it comes to layers opt for black leggings, a long embellished tank, belted cardigan and a pair of flats or high heel ankle boots, depending on the weather.

If you prefer a more polished look for work then opt for two pieces – a pleated skirt with a fitted jacket worn over a chic tank or buttoned shirt and a pair of patent leather pumps. If you are rushed on a daily basis one of the best things you can do is buy fashion pieces that you can mix and match effortlessly.

Another option is to put together your outfits for the week on the weekend (I do this.) Basically, on the weekend, take some time to try on some pieces and put your outfits together and hang them/organize them in the closet together. This way when you jump out of bed in the morning you can just grab a pre-made outfit and look fabulous without a big effort.

Accessories – It’s all in the Details

An outfit is not complete without the details and the details are in the accessories. Bangle bracelets, dangling earrings, bold oversized rings and a beautiful handbag that goes with everything are ideal. Opt for metallic hues so that your jewelry will go with EVERY fashion piece you own.

Colors are great too but if you are in a rush metallic shades make it so much easier. Take the guesswork out of getting ready in the morning and create gorgeous looking outfits minutes after you jump out of bed.

Get ready fast by having some easy shortcuts ready at a moments notice!

Colored denim is one of the hottest trends of the year. From bright bold shades to cool pastel hues, colorful jeans have taken over the fashion runways and fashionistas are following suit. Let’s face it – we love our denim!

Forget casual Fridays, we want to wear jeans to work every day of the week and there is no better way to do this than with colored denim. After all, who doesn’t want to wear jeans every day of the week? This season, let your inner fashionistas shine through with cheerful shades of denim!

Black - Anything but Basic

Katy Holmes set things in motion with her cherry red skinny jeans paired with a black blouse. Make this trend your own by adding some zealous details. Invest in a pair of bold colored jeans – think cobalt blue, cherry red, emerald green.

Add a flirty black blouse or tank top with a touch of color or pattern. Then layer on a black tapered jacket that shows off your feminine curves. Added details will complete the look. Metallic silver nail polish, a metallic inspired clutch purse, colorful earrings and bracelets as well as a pair wedge heels in the same bold shade as your denim pants will complete the look.

 Color Blocking – Celebrate Color

If you have not tried color blocking, now is the time! This does not mean bright and bold – if you prefer sorbet inspired pastels, no problem. Irresistible color combinations include pale raspberry, melon, pistachio, lemon and powder blue.

Go for hues that are have the same or similar hue – pair bold with bold or pale with pale to keep the color-blocking look consistent and stylish. Again, details and accessories are important. Silver accessories and fabric handbags with a metallic inspired sheen look simply superb when worn with any shade.

Playful Patterns – More is More

Yep – you heard right. From audacious prints to tiny florals, thick stripes to amped up paisley; you can’t go wrong with some playful patterns. The key to this look is to ensure that one color in the print you choose matches the color of the jeans you will be wearing. Go for a pair of brightly colored skinny jeans and add a flirty floral tunic blouse and print inspired peep toe shoes. Shoulder duster earrings, bangle bracelets and an over-sized floret bauble ring will complete the look.

Colored denim is a great way to add some fun to your wardrobe. And if all else fails – pair your fun and fearless denim with a crisp white shirt and gold sandals. Express yourself this year by wearing a pair of cheerful colored jeans!

It's the time of year we have all been waiting for. Warmer weather and the ability to step outside without being bundled up. Now is the time to shed the layers and embrace a less is more style mantra.

With that in mind, here are 6 must-have fashion items for spring 2013.

Black Leggings

Black leggings are a fashion staple. They are so easy (and comfortable) to wear - which is probably why they are so popular.

The key to making leggings work is to pair them with something long and loose on top. This provides a balanced look.

Wear leggings with a long short-sleeve sweater, a scoop neck slouchy t-shirt or a tunic style peasant blouse.

Tailored Vests

Tailored vests are a versatile and timeless look that can change the style of an outfit from simply casual to stylishly chic. Vests can be worn with any style of jeans or leggings and are often found in dark and muted colors. Wear vests under fancy t-shirts, capped sleeved shirts and blouses, dress shirts and peasant blouses.

Fitted Denim Jeans

Dark blue fitted jeans can be worn with pretty much anything and still look trendy. This spring season wear fitted jeans with an embellished t-shirt, long pendant necklace and a cropped jacket for a polished yet casual appearance.

Bold Booties

Boots and booties are a serious and chic fashion trend for the spring season. Metallic studded boots, booties with excessive zippers and lots of sleek buckles are the hallmark footwear for the season.

Scoop Neck T-Shirt

This season choose long scoop neck t-shirts in bright shades, funky patterns or with lots of added embellishments (think be-dazzler). Wear them under long vests, cropped jackets, and loose knit sweater wraps to create an especially stylish and funky look.

Must-Have Accessories

Jewelry will always complete an outfit. Chunky earrings, lots of silver and gold bracelets and beautiful vintage inspired pendant necklaces are a great way to redefine your outfit.

Wondering who the best dressed stars were at the 2013 Grammy's? The Grammy Awards are not only a showcase for the most talented musicians in the industry - they are also an uber fashion show (cat walk and all) with the hottest designers showcasing their latest creations on the most beautiful singers/songwriters as they walk, talk and mingle down the red carpet.

Here are the most jaw dropping styles and designs worn at the Grammy Awards - whether they were nominated or not, these stars are the fashion winners at the 2013 Grammys.

Taylor Swift - Greek Goddess

Ok, it's official, she's a goddess. The stunning white dress drapes perfectly over Swift's lean physique and the textured silver straps create eye catching appeal. Her braided headband looks perfectly disheveled and the minimal accessories play up the elegant and glorious simplicity of this look.

Rihanna - Red Hot

That dress, that hair! She would look gorgeous wearing a paper bag but put a hot red number on this genetically blessed and vocally gifted woman and WOW! Perfection.

The loose flowing hair is a switch from the shorter, edgier styles Rihanna seems to prefer. Her look is truly elegant and reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour.

Carrie Underwood - Baroque Beauty

Ooh! I love this dress - an elegant black strapless dress with plenty of artistic detail. The tapestry/baroque like design element creates just the right amount of dramatic appeal. And of course that necklace (all 380 carats) is an attention grabber! Yet, it does not compete with the dress - this is a balanced and breath taking look.

The 2013 grammy dresses were stunning and the stars, performers and celebrities did not go overboard with cleavage (top and bottom) - well, except for Katy Perry who couldn't seem to contain her generous assets within the confines of her gown....
Create fun, sexy and feminine appeal with a variety of simple yet chic and stylish spring/summer fashion trends.

Capped Sleeved T-Shirts

Capped sleeved t-shirts are a chic and feminine take on the traditional t-shirt. Wear capped sleeve t-shirts with a cute vest and a pair of jeans. Add some funky gold and silver bangles and a pendant necklace for a more refined and less casual look.

Pencil Skirts

Pencil skirts are feminine without being to girly. They are a classic lasting style and the cut can be incorporated into any season. Wear a pencil skirt with a capped sleeved blouse and a stylish belt around the waist. Add peep toe pumps, tear drop earrings and small pendant necklace to create a polished yet classic feminine look.

Maxi Style Dresses

Maxi style dresses are long dresses with lots of movement. When choosing a maxi style dress stick to a solid color or simple pattern. Look for elegant necklines and detailed stitching which adds to the style and appearance of the dress.

Skinny Belts

Skinny belts can be worn in a variety of ways and incorporated in numerous different fashion styles and trends. Keep several skinny or thin styled belts on hand to accessorize an outfit. They can be worn over blouses, shirts and fitted sweaters as well as with pants, skirts and leggings. Experiment with skinny belts with different outfits. Try wearing them loose on the hip or cinched at the waist. Skinny belts are a quick and affordable way to spice up an outfit.

Simple Accessories

Simple accessories such as gold and silver bangles, dew drop earrings, vintage pendant necklaces and small hand held clutches are a very easy way to create feminine appeal. Simple quality made accessories never go out of style and can often be worn with a variety of looks and fashion trends.
